The Rodney Economic Development Trust is an independent body contracted to the Rodney District Council to help implement its economic development strategy, 'A Living Vision for Rodney's Economy'. We welcome enquiries on any business matters - there is no charge for our service.

Our focus is to attract and assist business in Rodney by:

Helping businesses and investors locate in Rodney with

  • Advice on available sites and/or businesses,
  • Assistance to navigate the local regulatory process,

Helping existing businesses by

  • Providing access to business development especially through training and mentoring
  • Facilitating clusters to help businesses expand markets and increase revenue
  • Partnering with Rodney District Council to create Business Improvement Districts
  • Encouraging residents, businesses and visitors to buy local goods and services and employ local people.
